(Cokato, MN, February 25, 2019) — Advanced Process Technologies, Inc. (APT) attended the 2019 AWS Northwest Section Behind the Mask Welding Competition held on Thursday, February 21, 2019. The competition rotates across the state and this was the first time it was held at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN with a record breaking 152 competitors.
APT solidified their high-quality fabrication knowledge with Aaron winning first place and Adam taking home second place after competing in the GTAW contest. Each competitor had 25 minutes to turn a printed plan into reality with industry professionals and college instructors judging them on their precise welding skills.
As APT continues to grow, they are always looking for skilled manufactures. Shop Foreman, Dave and Manufacturing Manager, Jason were also onsite showcasing APT with a booth at the event. Dave stated, “It was a good opportunity to reach welders as they showcase their skills in the competition.”
